A pair of vintage Thai Siam nielloware earrings in teardrop shapes with openwork silver borders. The black niello panels show etched silver figures of Mekkala, the Thai goddess of lightning, holding her magic crystal.
Screw-back fittings (no piercing needed). The backs are stamped STERLING MADE IN SIAM and the screws are marked STERLING. Mid-20th century.
