Description
A vintage programme from Le Florida, the cabaret at 76 Boulevard de Clichy, Place Blanche, Paris, "the meeting place of tourists from all over the world", with a show running "from 8 pm till dawn".
The colour cover shows a pin-up dancer on a crescent moon, signed by the artist. Inside, illustrated pages announce the night's acts by the hour: "La Française" at 8 pm, "La Tahitienne" at 11:30 pm, "La Mexicaine" at 0:30 and "L'Américaine" at 1 am, drawn among rockets, satellites and flying saucers in the spirit of the space race.
Circa late 1950s to early 1960s: the telephone number is printed in the old Paris exchange style (ORN. 37-32), used until 1963.
