Five consecutive years of the Israel Government Coins & Medals Corporation Hanukkah series, each reverse depicting a historic Hanukkah lamp from a different Jewish community - Russia, Babylon, Damascus, Holland, and colonial America. All 34mm, 20g.
Four of the five are the מ-mintmark proof strikes, which were issued in substantially smaller numbers than the standard uncirculated versions. The 1972 Russian Lamp is the standout: .750 fine silver, and just 22,336 proofs struck. The 1975 Holland proof accounts for 33,537 pieces; the 1976 Early American, the uncirculated ✡ strike, 24,844.
Proof status confirmed by edge on each piece - the מ-mintmark proofs have reeded edges, the ✡ uncirculated strikes are smooth.
Presented in official Israel Coins & Medals Corporation packaging. Two coins are housed in ICMC vinyl wallets with the printed information cards; three are in ICMC clear sleeves. All packaging is genuine mint-issued material.
Complete runs like this are harder to assemble than the individual coins suggest, since proof and BU versions get mixed indiscriminately in the secondary market.
