Two variants of Israel's first 250 Pruta coin, dated 1949 (תש"ט), from the very first coin series of the State of Israel.
Silver .500 with H mint mark (Heaton, Birmingham). Only about 44,000 struck. Weight 14.24 g, nice old toning.
Copper-nickel with pearl (the small dot under the bar at the bottom of the wreath). Weight 14.08 g.
Wheat ears on one side, value in an olive wreath on the other. A nice way to show the silver and circulation versions side by side.
