Description
A double-sided original by Bazooka Joe (Adi Mandel, b. 1963), the self-taught Israeli artist whose pop, street-art and outsider style made him a name in the Tel Aviv art scene. Titled "By 20 You'll Reach the Moon" (עד גיל 20 תגיע לירח), signed BASOOKE JOE and dated 2011.
Front: a crowned figure with a starry face above a toothy fish, drawn in blue ballpoint ink, with Hebrew inscriptions and the title written above the signature.
Back: a second composition in ink with red watercolour and collaged paper strips.
On thick cardboard. Originally from the Porta Gallery, Neve Tzedek, Tel Aviv.
Size: 30 x 20.5 cm. Sold unframed; the frame in one photo is for display only.
