Authentic vintage participation medal from the 13th edition of the World Games for the Deaf, held in Bucharest (Bucuresti), Romania, in 1971.
These games are today known as the Deaflympics, one of the world’s oldest international multi-sport events.
The medal features a stylized athlete in motion with outstretched arms in an art-deco inspired design. A meaningful piece of sports and Deaf community history.
